As an aside, I just got a copy of the Nightfly vinyl in the mail yesterday (hooray for eBay!) and I can now confirm with relative certainty that the smokes were CHESTERFIELDS and the album within the album (that we both thought kind of looked like Aja) depicts a figure and a saxophone - surely one of Fagen's favorite LPs.
